Job Description

Senior Data Engineer:

Experience: 6+ Years

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Data Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building modern Lakehouse solutions using Dataflow, Dataform, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub while supporting analytics, reporting, and AI-driven data products.

The role will work closely with Data Architects, Data Governance, Analytics Engineers, BI Developers, and Business Teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.

Required Technical Skills

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Strong hands-on experience in:

  • BigQuery (advanced optimization and tuning)
  • Dataflow (batch & streaming pipelines)
  • Dataform (SQL-based transformations)
  • Pub/Sub (event-driven architectures)
  • Cloud Storage (GCS)
  • Dataplex / Data Catalog
  • Analytics Hub (data sharing)
  • Cloud Monitoring & Logging
  • IAM & Security controls

Data Engineering

  • Batch and streaming data processing
  • ETL / ELT pipeline design and implementation
  • Data ingestion frameworks (config-driven approach preferred)
  • CDC and incremental processing
  • Data lakehouse architecture concepts
  • Data modeling and warehousing principles

Programming

  • Python
  • Advanced SQL
  • Java or Scala (preferred)
  • Scripting and automation

Preferred Certifications

Google Cloud

  • Google Professional Data Engineer
  • Google Associate Data Practitioner
