2Job Purpose
Support the Head of Product in achieving the strategic objectives of the Retail Liabilities business by managing and growing the bank’s deposit products and portfolio. Responsible for driving product strategy execution, portfolio performance, profitability, customer value propositions, and balance sheet growth across current accounts, savings accounts, and term deposits. Lead and successfully deliver strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects that enhance customer experience, strengthen market competitiveness, improve operational efficiency, and support the department’s funding and business goals.

4Key Result Areas
- Support the Head of Product & Proposition in executing the Retail Liabilities strategy and achieving business and portfolio objectives.
- Monitor portfolio performance, profitability, customer behaviour, and market developments to identify growth opportunities and recommend actions.
- Develop and implement product enhancements, pricing strategies, and customer value propositions to drive acquisition, retention, and balances growth with a digital first mindset.
- Lead and successfully deliver strategic initiatives, product launches, digitization programs, and transformation projects.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across business, technology, operations, risk, finance, compliance, and marketing to ensure effective execution.
- Leverage data and customer insights to optimize product performance and support data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and risk management requirements.
- Contribute to achieving the department's balance sheet, funding, revenue, and customer growth objectives while enhancing overall portfolio value.
5Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships
- Branches, Wealth Management unit, DBC, Governance, Compliance, Marketing and Finance
- Work closely with Product teams and other stakeholders to manage and deliver the segment KPI
- Driving customer experience/engagement programs and events, tactical promotion to increase the client engagement for both the segment
- Interface with distribution, relationship managers, alternate channels, DBC, ops, BIU, legal and compliance
- Within the business – sales teams, process units
- Ensure compliance of policies and procedures within the bank
6Problem Solving
- Ability to understand and take value decisions, which encompass diverse banking products, process and transactions
- Ability to identify risks which may not be apparent and ensure that it is escalated as per process
- Judgment is also exercised in interpretation of environmental parameters that govern the strategy and direction of the relevant portfolio and segment
- Ability to maintain audit preparedness
- Carry out independent market intelligence function as an ongoing program throughout the year

8Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in banking, wealth management, product management, including at least 2-3 years in a similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of banking product management, with experience in deposit and liability products preferred; exposure to digital banking environments is an advantage.
- Graduate or equivalent professional qualification from a recognized institution.
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify growth opportunities, develop data-driven insights, and support revenue enhancement initiatives.
- Ability to plan, organize, and continuously improve customer experience and service delivery across channels.
- Previous experience working on a full time virtual environment will be an added advantage
