In this role, you will:
- Lead the establishment and maturity of engineering automation practices across Technology, enabling faster, safer and more consistent delivery.
- Own the enterprise quality engineering capability, including testing strategy, standards, governance, service delivery and uplift of practices across projects and platforms.
- Drive adoption of DevOps, test automation, release, deployment and environment management practices that improve flow, collaboration, traceability and control.
- Oversee non-production environment readiness, release coordination, observability, monitoring and engineering tooling to support reliable delivery outcomes.
- Lead and develop a team across quality engineering, test automation, release, deployment, environments, DevOps and observability disciplines.
The Right Person
You will bring:
- Significant experience leading quality engineering, DevOps, release, deployment, environment management or automation functions in a complex enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of test automation, CI/CD practices, engineering tooling, observability, monitoring and reusable automation frameworks.
- Practical ITIL knowledge, with experience across service transition, release, change and operational support practices.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, vendors, managed service providers and cross-functional technology teams.
- Strong leadership, planning, risk management and communication skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement and consistent ways of working.
Eligibility
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in technology, engineering, IT or business.
- Around 10 years’ experience in technology delivery, quality engineering, automation, release management or related enterprise technology disciplines.
- The right to work in Australia.
- Ability to meet any applicable probity, licensing or background checking requirements relevant to The Star Entertainment Group.
