As we continue to expand, we are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Product Manager - Payments to join our team.
As a Payments Product Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full payments product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond. You will drive our payments implementation, ensuring smooth, secure, and scalable deposit and withdrawal experiences for our global clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, Business Development, Compliance, Finance, and external vendors, to build and optimize a payments ecosystem that supports our business goals and exceeds customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the payments roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives, client needs, and regulatory obligations.
- Lead integrations with Payment Service Providers (PSPs) for banks, wallets, cryptos, and alternative payment methods.
- Optimise payments methods for speed, cost, reliability, and approval rates.
- Manage the end-to-end payments lifecycle (onboarding new providers, scaling to new regions, ensuring compliance).
- Enhance the client experience across deposits and withdrawals, driving improvements in conversion rates, transaction success ratios, and processing times.
- Prioritize payment-related product features and manage the payments backlog in a Scrum agile environment.
- Develop payment-specific user personas and journeys to understand customer needs and behaviours across different geographies.
- Translate business and user needs into clear payments product requirements and specifications using Jira (tasks) and Confluence (documentation).
- Collaborate with Engineering, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Business Development, Business Analysts, Operations to deliver payments solutions at scale.
- Conduct business and data analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Monitor payment performance and KPIs (approval rates, processing time, costs, fraud rates, provider uptime) and make data-driven improvements.
- Actively engage with the payments ecosystem and vendors, staying ahead of market trends and regulatory changes.
Requirements
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in payments, fintech, banking, or financial services (with exposure to banks, wallets, cryptos, and alternative payment methods).
- Fluency in English; additional languages would be considered an advantage.
- Proven track record of delivering successful payment product launches and integrations with PSPs, banks, and alternative providers.
- Understanding of the full project lifecycle and SDLC, with emphasis on payments integrations, transaction flows, and compliance/regulatory requirements.
- Professional certification (Prince 2, PMP, Scrum Master/Product Owner) would be considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines, multitask, and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
