Full description

Build the systems that keep tax moving.

This is a permanent hybrid developer role in financial services, in the tax space. You can be based in Cape Town or Pretoria. You will work on enterprise web applications that real users rely on: registration, access, roles, transactions, and payments. Not a side project. Production, repeatedly.

You will own code that has to hold up. Maintain what is live. Build what is next. Cut through defects when the pressure is on. Work with analysts and cross-functional teams to turn user stories into interfaces people can actually use. Senior candidates also get to mentor.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build,

enhance and maintain enterprise web applications

  • Develop

new features and components based on business requirements

  • Work

closely with Business Analysts and cross-functional teams

  • Refactor

and optimise code for performance and scalability

  • Develop

and integrate REST & SOAP APIs

  • Troubleshoot

production issues and perform root cause analysis

  • Test

applications through unit and integration testing

  • Support

deployments across different environments

  • Contribute

to development standards and best practices

  • Share your knowledge and mentor junior

developers where required

Requirements

What we’re looking for

You’ll need strong hands-on experience with:

  • C# / .NET / .NET Core
  • Angular 6+ / JavaScript / TypeScript
  • ASP.NET / HTML5 / CSS
  • React
  • REST & SOAP Web Services
  • SQL Server / Azure SQL
  • JSON & XML
  • IIS
  • Git / Azure DevOps
  • Postman / SoapUI

And because security matters, you should understand OWASP and common web application vulnerabilities and be comfortable working with cybersecurity teams.

Azure experience is a big plus!
