We are looking for a Capital Markets Business Analyst - Business Enablement Operation in Charlotte, NC.

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with Derivative Trading, Sales, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Market Risk Management, Treasury, and Finance teams to support strategic initiatives, process enhancements, and business objectives
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of interest rate and derivative products, including swaps, caps, floors, collars, and futures, with the ability to analyze pricing inputs, rate resets, and cash settlement calculations
  • Perform and oversee daily OTC derivatives activities, including client onboarding, trade verification, settlements, confirmations, lifecycle event processing, and counterparty coordination
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for operational processes, providing guidance to junior team members and assisting with issue resolution
  • Analyze, define, document, and enhance business processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and control effectiveness
  • Review, validate, and maintain client and counterparty data, ensuring data integrity across systems
  • Review and approve settlement activity, investigate exceptions, and drive timely resolution of complex settlement and reconciliation issues
  • Lead investigations into trade, cash, and reconciliation discrepancies, providing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, counterparties, and external service providers
  • Participate in operational and regulatory projects, system implementations, testing efforts, and process improvement initiatives
  • Respond to ad hoc inquiries, support audits and examinations, and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation, relationship building, collaboration attention to detail and decision-making skills
  • Understanding of the details and mechanics of OTC products (including futures, Options, and swaps) and an inquisitive mind
  • Understanding of banking, markets, industry practices, and market trends
  • 5 or more years of related experience
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently without direct supervision
  • Undergraduate degree in finance or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Calypso, MarkitWire, Tri_Optima and Bloomberg is a plus
