Cloud IT Solutions Architect, LeadThe Opportunity: 

Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As an experienced cloud computing infrastructure architect, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. Here, you’ll oversee our team of experienced professionals and use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to guide your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We’re looking for someone like you to help support national security through IT modernization efforts.

You’ll collaborate closely with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in Office 365, Azure, AWS, and GCP to design, define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components. You’ll have the chance to broaden your experience within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. With access to our internal cloud infrastructures, you’ll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our clients’ problems, and you’ll partner with stakeholders and lead your team to deliver the right technical solutions. Whether modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications or creating new ones from scratch, you’ll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips.

You Have:  

  • 8+ years of experience with design, deployment, and management of Cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and Google for Federal customers
  • Experience leading the migration, architecting, building, and deploying of systems and applications in Cloud platforms at enterprise scale with innovation through self-organized initiatives, emerging tools, COTS products, and industry best practices to challenge cross functional teams to generate outcomes
  • Experience leading technical teams, including cloud professionals through solutions development and testing
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree, or 10+ years of experience in technology in lieu of a degree
  • Ability to obtain 8570 IAT Level II or III Certification within 6 months of hire date

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working in a collaborative and customer delivery environment
  • Experience with technical project management, including planning, scoping, and resourcing complex cloud solutioning projects
  • Knowledge of networking, security groups, and policy management for cloud resources across multiple operating systems, including Linux and Windows
  • Knowledge of DoW accreditation processes
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps for designing, developing, and delivering using appropriate automation techniques or tools
  • Ability to work through challenging security requirements and maintain compliance
  • Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,900.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
