Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements, functional documents, and technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Scripts, and Test Steps.
  • Perform manual testing, including Functional, System, Integration, and Acceptance Testing.
  • Execute regression testing before each release to ensure application stability.
  • Identify, log, track, and report defects using JIRA, and follow through to closure.
  • Participate in defect discovery, issue identification, and root cause analysis.
  • Validate application behavior during system and unit testing phases.
  • Perform Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Support regression, load, and performance testing activities (exposure level).
  • Maintain clear test tracking, documentation, logging, and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders.
  • Follow SQA best practices, testing standards, and quality processes.
  • Demonstrate interest in learning and transitioning to automation testing over time.

Technical Skills

Manual Testing (Required)

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and test design techniques
  • Hands-on experience in:
  • Test case creation and execution
  • Defect lifecycle management
  • Regression and acceptance testing
  • Experience using JIRA for defect tracking.
  • Basic understanding of software architecture, system behavior, and program logic.

Automation Exposure (Basic / Preferred)

  • Basic exposure or hands-on experience with test automation tools such as:
  • Selenium / WebDriver (preferred)
  • Familiarity with automation concepts such as:
  • Test scripts, test frameworks, and execution flows
  • Knowledge of any scripting language (Java / Python) is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to upskill in automation testing as part of career growth.
