Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure investments? If so, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is currently looking for a Business Intelligence & Reporting Associate to join us in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Team

You will become part of a global team responsible for a broad range of commercial and strategic initiatives. The team plays a central role in providing business intelligence insights and works closely with colleagues across the organization.

You will join an international and diverse group of 60+ professionals representing 15 nationalities and a wide range of professional backgrounds, including private markets, investment banking, management consulting, and law. Team members are based across Europe, North America, and Asia.

Role

As our new Business Intelligence & Reporting Associate, you will support the business by conducting data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting activities and initiatives. You will help produce, manage, and evolve the various reports used to "run the business" and enable informed decision-making. This will also include systems and applications (e.g. CRM, Power BI or equivalent, underlying data sources, data warehouse, etc.).

This role is instrumental in (i) driving a robust approach to data-driven decision-making; (ii) generating actionable insights; (iii) creating predictive models; and (iv) supporting fundraising and investor engagement processes.

Responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating and producing weekly management reports and analytics for the ExCom and Senior Partners to inform strategic decision-making
  • Supporting with development, implementation, and visualization of best-in-class processes and procedures
  • Developing and maintaining systems and applications to ensure functionality aligns with business evolution
  • Ensuring accurate data collection, pipelines, and databases to establish data integrity, and implementing governance frameworks across all relevant areas
  • Transforming raw data into actionable insights using statistical techniques, dashboards, and trend interpretation, including benchmarking and competitive positioning
  • Building and validating models, leveraging AI to predict trends and behaviours for informed decision-making
  • Designing dashboards, automating reports, providing real-time visualisations, and delivering insights (e.g., investor sentiment, profile, and pipeline status)
  • Advising on business strategy by providing insights on investor behaviour, market trends, operational efficiencies, and growth opportunities
  • Partnering with IT, Investments, Capital Formation, Finance, and other CIP functions to align data initiatives with business priorities and address specific challenges
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR), maintaining data security, and promoting ethical data practices in collaboration with relevant CIP functions

You

We are looking for a motivated and collaborative candidate holding a relevant degree in Data Science, Engineering, Business Management, or related fields, with 0–2 years of experience in a similar role. You could come from an in-house strategy or consultancy role focusing on business intelligence and financial advisory. Experience with fundraising and business development in a similar industry is beneficial but not a requirement.

  • An analytical mindset with experience in developing models, interpreting trends, and delivering actionable insights
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • A client-first mindset and the willingness to go the extra mile to exceed expectations of external and internal clients alike
  • A genuine interest in AI tools and leveraging them to achieve better and faster results
  • Attention to detail and a structured approach to data management and reporting
  • Experience with Client Relationship Systems (e.g., Salesforce, DealCloud)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • The ability to work well in a time-sensitive environment
  • Knowledge of private markets or financial services is helpful, but not required
