GENERAL DESCRIPTION OR PURPOSE OF JOB:
 
The Financial Analyst will prepare accounting and analysis activities to support Business Unit Finance, SG&A Finance and FP&A. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
- Perform month-end close tasks to ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Produce and analyze weekly and monthly key metrics
- Prepare financial forecasts and annual budgets.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles, internal controls (SOX) or other financial reporting standards. 
- Conduct or support various business initiatives and projects including pricing, bids, sales exceptions, commission adjustments, testing, and other analytical work
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
- Solid business acumen, ability to critically think and problem solving.                                       
- Ability to independently prioritize, proactive vs reactive approach to job duties.                        
- Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills                                 
- Training/Mentoring other analysts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS: 
 
 
Required:
 
- 2+ years as financial analyst.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- Five years or more of related experience required.
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and present results
- Proficient in accounting and financial analysis software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
