Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Data Strategy Office, AH Commercial Excellence, located at our Johns Creek, GA facility. As a Data Product Analyst Intern, you will support the Data Products team in advancing our portfolio of data solutions and enabling business value through data, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities.
This role provides hands-on experience in data product management, analytics, agile delivery, stakeholder engagement, and innovation. You will gain exposure to how data products are discovered, developed, governed, scaled, and adopted across the business while partnering with users to solve real business challenges and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with intake, documentation, prioritization, and tracking of data product requests and enhancement opportunities.
- Support backlog management, sprint planning, release tracking, and agile delivery activities.
- Conduct data analysis and exploratory research to identify trends, uncover insights, and support product decisions.
- Help maintain product documentation, Confluence pages, JIRA work items, dashboards, scorecards, and roadmaps.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and improve data products.
- Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT), data validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Monitor data product usage, adoption, and performance metrics, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Document business processes, best practices, data definitions, workflows, and user feedback.
- Support the creation of dashboards, reports, and product performance scorecards that communicate business value and usage trends.
- Participate in stakeholder interviews, workshops, and product discovery sessions to better understand user needs and business objectives.
- Explore and apply Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities to address business challenges, improve data product experiences, automate workflows, and identify innovative opportunities for value creation.
- Assist with rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept activities to evaluate new data, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Act as a trusted partner to user communities by helping identify pain points, gathering feedback, and recommending solutions that drive adoption and business impact.
- Develop a product management mindset by helping define success metrics, evaluate product performance, prioritize opportunities, and improve user experience.
- Research industry trends, emerging technologies, data product best practices, and AI innovations to support continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing
- Student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship/co-op
- Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred
- Major or minor in related field of internship/co-op
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university
- Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university
Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Pursuing a degree in Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or similar tools preferred.
- Interest in data products, product management, analytics, user experience, and business process improvement.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence is preferred.
- Knowledge of Generative AI technologies, AI-assisted workflows, prompt engineering, or data-driven innovation is a plus.
- Ability to translate business challenges into analytical or technical solutions.
- Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder engagement, and organizational skills.
- Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a passion for learning new technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Interest in serving as a trusted consultant and partner to business users to maximize adoption and value realization of data products.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
