Summary:We are seeking a Project Manager that will be responsible for leading New Product Development (NPD) projects from conception through completion. This includes planning & estimation, budgeting, managing requirements, project execution, risk management, and ensuring projects meet technical, financial, and schedule objectives. The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and high-quality delivery of engineering solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to deliver new products to the market based on the company's product roadmap for each business unit
- Define project scope, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with technical leads and stakeholders, including Product Managers.
- Manage multiple R&D projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget, following the company R&D stage gate process to deliver high quality, differentiated solutions to the market.
- Facilitate project meetings, track progress, and identify and mitigate risks or bottlenecks.
- Ensure resource allocation aligns with project needs and departmental priorities.
- Provide regular project updates, status reports, and presentations to stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration across departments within each interdisciplinary project team.
- Monitor project costs and ensure financial accountability.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks to project success.
- Support continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes and lessons learned.
- Ensure projects adhere to company global engineering standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate regulatory processes, documentation, and approvals for products sold into regulated markets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in program or project management within an R&D or engineering environment.
- Proven experience managing projects with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of the R&D lifecycle, from concept to commercialization.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
- Experience in the fluid Handling industry is a plus: paint, powder, electrostatics, and/or sealants & adhesives
