This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Analyst, Business Development - GWA based in the United States.

This role combines consumer analytics, business development, and sales strategy to uncover meaningful growth opportunities across grocery wholesale customers and retail partners. You will transform complex consumer and market data into clear, compelling insights that support strategic customer conversations. The position plays an important role in Joint Value Planning and strengthening relationships through data-driven growth recommendations. You will create customer-ready presentations, visualizations, and storytelling materials that translate trends into actionable business solutions. Working across sales, insights, customer development, economic teams, and brokerage partners, you will help connect analytics to commercial priorities. The role offers a highly collaborative environment where analytical thinking, creativity, and strong communication directly influence customer engagement and business performance. Accountabilities:

  • Develop customer-ready sales materials by identifying opportunities and translating consumer data into compelling presentations, visualizations, and recommendations.
  • Serve as a storytelling consultant for the team, helping interpret insights, guide written narratives, and align customer materials with retailer and broader business strategies.
  • Prepare content and analytical materials for food shows, key customer meetings, and other high-impact sales engagements.
  • Support retail brokerage partners by tracking results, maintaining reporting routines, and providing analytical support for monthly business reviews.
  • Analyze large consumer datasets and panel data to identify meaningful patterns, trends, behaviors, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop detailed consumer profiles and segments using demographic, psychographic, and behavioral characteristics.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, cultural shifts, competitor activity, products, and marketing strategies to identify potential opportunities and emerging consumer trends.
  • Continuously improve analytical processes and workflows while quickly adopting new technologies, programs, and capabilities.
  • Maintain strong alignment with North America Central Insights, Customer Development, and Economic teams through regular prioritization meetings and operating routines.
  • Translate consumer and market insights into strategic recommendations that support business goals, customer growth, and commercial decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in category management, analytics, consumer behavior, market research, or a related discipline.
  • Strong storytelling capabilities with the ability to turn complex data and insights into clear, compelling business narratives.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills, including the ability to leverage infographics, visualizations, and graphic design principles to create customer-ready materials.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, internal leadership, and external customer stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to connect consumer insights and market trends to broader business objectives.
  • Familiarity with market research and consumer analytics platforms such as IRI Panel, Kantar, Numerator, Mintel, or similar tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across functions while managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong engagement and relationship-building skills within cross-functional environments.
  • MS SharePoint development experience and/or graphic design experience is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically throughout the year.

  • Base salary: $89,800–$112,200 USD.
  • Eligibility for a performance-based bonus, subject to applicable plan terms and governing documents.
