Full description
Procurement Analyst – Procurement Intelligence & Finance Partnering
Are you someone who can move from a raw dataset to a decision-ready recommendation – and enjoys doing both? At Lundbeck, we’re looking for an analytically strong professional to join our Procurement Intelligence & Finance Partnering team at our global headquarters in Copenhagen. You could be the person who turns data, market intelligence and AI into better sourcing decisions.
Your new role
You will support fact-based decision-making across our procurement categories by combining data analysis, financial understanding and modern tooling – including AI – and translating the results into actions our category managers and stakeholders can execute on.
The role is deliberately broad. Depending on the priorities of the moment, you might be modelling the financial impact of a negotiation strategy one week and building an AI-assisted workflow that removes manual reporting work the next. What stays constant is the expectation: rigorous analysis, clear communication, and insights that lead to action.
It is your chance to:
- Analyze spend, savings, contract and market data across categories, and translate findings into concrete, prioritized recommendations.
- Build and maintain reporting and dashboards that track savings delivery, category performance and value creation – for both operational and executive audiences.
- Help drive the practical adoption of AI in our procurement work: identifying use cases, building or configuring solutions, and helping the team work smarter.
- Support the financial side of procurement, including savings validation, budget follow-up and variance analysis in collaboration with Finance.
- Partner with category managers to prepare negotiations, business cases and sourcing decisions with solid analytical foundations.
- Prepare high-quality, executive-ready materials that shape decisions beyond procurement.
Your future team
Corporate Procurement is a global team of approximately 50 colleagues across Copenhagen, Chicago, and Krakow. You will join the Procurement Business Intelligence & Finance Partnering team, a team of five that spans data analytics, project management and sustainability.
The team is characterized by high standards, strong ownership and a fact-based approach to decision-making. Responsibility is given early, and development is driven through real business challenges and close collaboration.
The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
What you bring to the team
You combine strong analytical capabilities, and a good understanding of Procurement. You have the ability to combine analytical horsepower with commercial and financial understanding. We believe the following will set a candidate apart:
- A Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, data science or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience from management consulting, procurement, finance or a similar analytical role
- Strong data analysis skills: advanced Excel and PowerPoint are a given; experience with Power BI, or other data visualization tools.
- A working understanding of procurement and corporate finance fundamentals: savings methodology, total cost of ownership, budget and P&L impact.
- Structured problem-solving and the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior audiences.
- Strong communication skills – you can defend your numbers and land your message with stakeholders at all levels.
In addition, you thrive in a fast-paced but collaborative environment with high expectations and exposure to senior management.
