Senior Data Analyst - 2390927

EMPLOYER: Optum Services, Inc.

JOB TITLE: Senior Data Analyst

LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle., Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES: Design, develop, modify, and/or test software for the healthcare industry in an agile environment. Predict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them. Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business. Participate in the development of business strategy. Develop and coordinate business plans to achieve objectives. Lead large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives. Translate highly complex concepts to be understood by a variety of audiences. Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, or approaches. Direct cross-functional and cross-segment teams. Coordinate the processes and activities of restoring service after an incident occurs. Monitor environment health and the facilitation of high severity incidents to improve the state of service availability and continuity. Operate and monitor computer and peripheral equipment and documents hardware, application, and facility issues and provide corrective action as required. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a Data Analyst-related occupation.

Experience must include:

  • Risk adjustment;
  • Chart targeting for Medicaid, Medicare and ACA(Affordable Care Act);
  • Complex data analysis using SQL or Python;
  • Big data and cloud technologies like Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, or Azure cloud services;
  • Data Architecture;
  • Data warehousing;
  • ETL/ELT pipelines; and
  • Data modeling.

RATE OF PAY: $142,271 - $177,408 per year
