1. Role Purpose: Provides senior-level network administration, operational support, and technical troubleshooting to maintain secure, resilient, and high-performing enterprise connectivity across LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, and remote-access environments. The role ensures network availability, supports planned changes and upgrades, drives incident resolution and root-cause analysis, and contributes to documentation, compliance, and continuous improvement of network operations.

2. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and support enterprise network infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, and secure connectivity across business locations and supported environments.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless controllers, load balancers, and related network services in line with approved standards.
  • Implement network changes, upgrades, patching, backups, and configuration updates through approved change-management processes while minimizing service risk.
  • Investigate and resolve network incidents and service degradations, perform root-cause analysis, document corrective actions, and escalate complex issues when required.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, including topology diagrams, device inventories, configuration records, operational procedures, and incident/change logs.
  • Monitor performance indicators such as bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss, device health, capacity, and availability; recommend improvements where trends indicate risk.
  • Coordinate with NOC, infrastructure, security, service delivery, vendors, and managed service providers to support incident resolution, planned maintenance, and service improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, operational controls, security policies, compliance requirements, and audit readiness for supported network environments.
  • Support network resilience activities, including failover validation, backup and recovery checks, vulnerability remediation, and implementation of security hardening actions.
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles, SOP updates, audit responses, service reviews, automation opportunities, and process improvement initiatives; provide guidance to junior team members where applicable.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

· Network uptime and incident response adherence to SLA

· Mean Time to Acknowledge (MTTA) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR)

· Number of escalations or repeated incidents

· Change implementation accuracy (no rollback or failure)

· Compliance and documentation completeness
