Strategic Analyst-Global Business Insight Location: Norcross GA; Avon CT, Sommerset NJ, Sturbridge, MA (Hybrid – located near one of our sites as listed)
POSITION SUMMARY The Strategic Analyst, Global Business Insight is responsible for monitoring competitors, market developments, industry trends, customer activity, and emerging technologies to support strategic decision-making. This role gathers, analyzes, and synthesizes competitive and market intelligence into actionable insights that support product strategy, commercial planning, business development, and executive decision-making across the organization.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor competitors, customers, suppliers, and industry developments across global markets.
- Conduct primary and secondary research using public sources, subscription databases, industry reports, and customer intelligence
- Track competitor financial, expansions, product launches, pricing actions, M&A activities, investments, partnerships, and technology developments.
- Utilize business intelligence and market research tools, including AlphaSense and other industry databases, to identify actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain competitor profiles, market share analyses, technology roadmaps, and strategic assessments.
- Support market sizing, forecasting, segmentation, and opportunity assessments.
- Prepare executive-ready reports, dashboards, newsletters, presentations, and briefing documents for competitors
- Participate in industry conferences, webinars and trade shows to gather market and competitor intelligence.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Finance teams to support strategic initiatives.
- Maintain competitive intelligence databases and ensure timely dissemination of key competitive insights

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Science, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, business analysis, consulting, strategy, or related fields.
- Experience in optical fiber, connectivity, telecommunications, networking, data center, or technology industries is preferred.
- Strong analytical, research, writing, and presentation skills required.
- Expertise in data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics) and excel proficiency desired.
- Familiarity with application of strategic framework preferred
