You will plan and deliver assigned projects for a NATO agency in Belgium, from business case through to accepted capability, under a lead project manager.
What you will be doing
- Planning, implementing and managing assigned projects to the agency's own policies and procedures
- Developing the business case: procurement strategy, benefit and risk analysis, project proposal or statement of work
- Securing sponsor acceptance and funding
- Running the management, coordination and quality assurance that delivery actually depends on
- Understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and resolving problems
- Delivering within scope, time, cost and quality tolerances and reporting progress regularly
- Identifying, planning and allocating resources to hit milestones, and initiating corrective action when they slip
- Managing project KPIs and reporting anomalies early
What you will need
- Substantial senior project management experience in a large, formal organisation
- Business case development, including procurement strategy and benefit and risk analysis
- Command of scope, time, cost and quality tolerances, and of KPI reporting
- Experience of resource planning and corrective action, not just plan maintenance
