Full description

Neuberger is seeking a Business Analyst to join the User Success and Enablement team within Enterprise Data Management (EDM). In this role, you will drive user adoption and platform utilization across enterprise data platforms by gathering requirements, analyzing data, and partnering closely with delivery teams. You will bring a product mindset — understanding user needs, shaping platform direction, and helping measure business value.

In this cross-platform role, you will serve as the critical bridge between a broad and diverse set of business stakeholders — including Portfolio Managers, Risk, Client Reporting, Marketing, and Operations — and technical teams spanning Cloud, Data Warehouse, Platform Engineering, Data Science, and BI & Analytics. You will translate user feedback into platform enhancements, shape roadmaps, and improve adoption through data-driven insights.

The ideal candidate is technically fluent in data environments and deeply understands how information is sourced, transformed, maintained, and delivered to support business outcomes. You will also serve as a champion for the "data as a product" philosophy — ensuring that enterprise data assets are governed, discoverable, trusted, and reusable across the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering

  • Partner with business stakeholders across enterprise-wide functions to understand their goals, surface priorities, and translate business needs into clear, delivery-ready technical requirements
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business and technology teams — including developers, QA, and production support — ensuring alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Proactively identify gaps in stakeholder alignment and lead resolution across competing priorities and business areas

Platform Execution & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end delivery of platform requests: coordinating, prioritizing, planning, testing, and releasing enhancements for enterprise data platforms
  • Manage and maintain the product backlog, writing well-defined epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Independently drive complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from concept through delivery, with minimal guidance

Hands-On Data Analysis

  • Work directly and independently with data — understanding data architecture, ingestion patterns, transformation logic, storage models, and downstream distribution
  • Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and troubleshooting, and clearly communicate findings and technical concepts to both business and technical audiences
  • Serve as a subject-matter resource for complex data issues, guiding junior analysts through troubleshooting and analysis best practices

Platform Adoption & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion the "data as a product" philosophy, ensuring enterprise data assets are governed, discoverable, trusted, and reusable across the firm
  • Leverage data-driven insights to influence platform roadmaps and drive measurable adoption outcomes across business areas
  • Contribute to long-term platform strategy, identifying opportunities for scalable, firm-wide improvements to adoption and governance

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in business analysis, product management, or data platform management — with a demonstrated ability to work independently, lead initiatives, and manage competing priorities
  • Strong SQL proficiency, with the ability to query, analyze, and troubleshoot data directly across complex environments
  • Proven track record of working hands-on with data — surfacing insights, solving data-related problems, and translating findings into actionable business outcomes
  • Experience in financial services, with a preference for asset management or wealth management backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured requirements and clear, well-documented deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences and drive alignment and influence outcomes across cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring junior analysts or leading workstreams within larger initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with cloud or enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Oracle, or equivalent technologies
  • Experience working in Agile environments, with proficiency in tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Confluence
  • Exposure to data quality tools or master data domains, including client, security, issuer, or legal entity data
  • Prior experience influencing product or platform roadmap decisions in a data-driven organization
