Full description

SMX is seeking a Project Manager to join the program management office (PMO) in a leadership position supporting Special Operations efforts in PACOM as well as serving as a liaison with government points of contact to facilitate operations. The ideal candidate will assist the project team with administrative oversight, operations management, and collaborate with multiple technical teams to achieve the overall mission objectives.

Required clearance: Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work directly for the Program Manager and support the clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess project scope, goals, and deliverables are being met
  • Facilitate effective communication among all project team members and stakeholders
  • Organize and lead regular project meetings to provide updates on project status, milestones, and upcoming tasks Provide weekly and monthly updates to Government Requirement Owner
  • Monitor project progress and address issues to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage expectations and address concerns
  • Provide periodic onsite project support at different locations throughout the PACOM AOR
  • Identify new business opportunities in the PACOM AOR
  • Support management, capture, and proposals for new work that includes task orders and other transactions

Required Skills, Experience & Education

  • 5-10 years experience in project management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management leading a small team (5-15)
  • Bachelor’s Degree In lieu of bachelor’s degree, at least 10 years of experience with the US Government or US Military
  • Active Top Secret security clearance and eligibility for TS/SCI and NATO
  • Up to 50% annual travel
  • Detail oriented, well-organized, and methodical
  • Adaptable to rapidly changing situations and moods and appropriately determine priorities

Desired Skills, Experience

  • Experience with programs in the PACOM AOR
  • Experience with management of Task Orders and/or Other Transactions

The proposed salary for this position is:

$112,000—$165,000 USD
