Sabel Systems designs and delivers digital engineering ecosystems for DoD programs, enabling teams to connect data, systems, and personnel within secure, scalable environments. Our solutions empower programs to make faster decisions, close sustainment gaps, and meet the digital acquisition requirements.
Rather than simply proposing transformation, we implement and operate it at scale. Our method is clear: we orchestrate existing tools into a governing system of record, ensuring government ownership of infrastructure and traceable decisions. There’s no vendor lock, no proprietary baselines, and no need for ATO rebuilds during transitions.
Sabel Systems is redefining modern defense acquisition. If you seek to solve complex challenges at scale and want your work to directly accelerate military capability while reshaping the DoD’s approach to digital engineering, this is the place for you.
Complexity Simplified. Mission Amplified.
What You’ll Do
Own the technical side of Sabel’s Navy business development, from early customer discovery and needs analysis through proposal strategy, technical volumes, delivery preparation, and post-award transition. Conduct competitive intelligence and market assessments across the defense digital engineering landscape. Identify whitespace opportunities, track competitor positioning, and translate findings into actionable capture strategies. Partner with Business Development to qualify opportunities, shape RFIs/RFPs where possible, and build win strategies grounded in technical differentiation and mission alignment. Deliver Navy executive briefings and technical presentations to government stakeholders, from working-level engineers to PEOs and general officers, translating product capability into mission value. Author technical white papers, solution briefs, competitive analyses, and customer-facing materials that build Sabel’s brand and pipeline. Serve as the technical authority in customer engagements, architecting solutions that map Sabel’s product capabilities to digital engineering, data management, and open-architecture requirements. Translate Navy customer mission threads and program requirements into functional product requirements and architectural roadmaps for Business Units. Translate field-level customer feedback, competitive dynamics, and market trends into product requirements and feature prioritization recommendations. Support pricing strategy, packaging decisions, and go-to-market planning for new product capabilities and market entries.
What You Bring
Required
US Citizen with a minimum of an active DoD Secret security clearance. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related technical field. 7+ years of experience in solution engineering, solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, technical business development, or systems engineering in the defense or aerospace sector. A track record of Navy customer-facing technical work: pre-sales solutioning, proposal development, technical capture, customer demonstrations, or executive-level briefings in a defense context. Strong systems engineering foundation: you can credibly discuss requirements decomposition, interface design, system integration, and architecture tradeoffs with government engineers and program offices. Working knowledge of Navy digital engineering concepts: model-based systems engineering, digital thread, digital twin, authoritative data, and open-architecture principles. Outstanding written and verbal communication: you’re comfortable in a room with a PEO, a room full of engineers, or writing a 50-page technical volume and you know how to adjust for each.
