Accountabilities: The Backend Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reliable software solutions while collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality applications.

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and related technologies, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Build and evolve software features aligned with business requirements and technical standards.

• Design, implement, and consume REST APIs and integrate services within distributed environments.

• Work with microservices architectures to create efficient and scalable solutions.

• Apply software engineering best practices, including clean code principles, testing, and code reviews.

• Develop and optimize database interactions using relational databases and SQL.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA teams, and other technical stakeholders to ensure end-to-end delivery.

• Participate in agile ceremonies such as Scrum meetings, planning sessions, and retrospectives.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance applications, processes, and development practices.

• Contribute to version control, build automation, and continuous integration workflows.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a mid-level backend developer with strong Java experience, knowledge of modern software development practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively in agile technology teams.

• Professional experience developing backend applications with Java, including Java 8+ and familiarity with newer versions.

• Knowledge of Node.js and experience working with backend technologies.

• Experience designing, consuming, and integrating REST APIs.

• Familiarity with frameworks and technologies such as Hibernate, Spring, JSF, Java EE, Web Services, REST, JPA, EJB, and PrimeFaces.

• Experience working with relational databases, especially Oracle and PL/SQL.

• Knowledge of software version control tools such as Git or CVS.

• Experience with build tools like Maven and continuous integration pipelines using tools such as GitLab or Jenkins.

• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Experience working in agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
