Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our analytics team. You’ll help shape data-led decisions that support insurance and reinsurance placements for clients across different lines of business and territories.
You’ll work with brokers, clients, and colleagues to turn complex data into clear insight. You’ll help improve how we collect, check, model, and share data. If you enjoy solving problems, spotting patterns, and making data easy to use, this role could be a great fit.
How you'll make an impact
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work with brokers and clients to understand their data needs.
- Analyse complex data to support insurance and reinsurance placements.
- Review market trends, claims experience, loss ratios, and other key metrics.
- Build and improve data pipelines using Microsoft Azure Data Factory and other Azure tools.
- Create dashboards and analytical tools that support informed decisions.
- Put data quality checks in place to help keep information accurate and complete.
- Maintain and improve data models for reporting and analysis.
- Help develop scalable data architecture that meets business and client needs.
- Work with teams across the business to explain findings in a clear way.
- Keep up to date with new tools and trends in data analysis and visualisation.
About you
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a related subject such as statistics, maths, computer science, or engineering.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a data analyst role.
- Experience with insurance or reinsurance data is important.
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, Power BI, and Excel.
- Experience with data modelling, including star schema, snowflake, or dimensional models.
- Experience working in data warehouse environments.
- Azure experience would be helpful.
- Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Able to explain complex ideas in a simple way.
- Able to work on your own and manage several priorities at once.
