JOB TITLE: Tech Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer
LOCATION: Dallas, TX (Hybrid role, may work from home)
DUTIES: Design and build enterprise cloud infrastructure automation, pipeline, CI/CD patterns and cloud capabilities for AWS. Work with other leaders to shape, improve and evolve the cloud platform vision and strategy for the future of cloud infrastructure and help manage the adoption process. Operate in a DevOps culture and team, responsible for architecture, design, development, implementation, and ongoing operations of new and emerging technology platforms. Evaluate cloud services and architecture to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Implement automation tools and frameworks for automatic code deployment (CI/CD). Work with the development team to deploy and manage tools that support SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) automation, configuration management, and release management. Create state-of-the-art technical architectures with automation to support complex delivery across a wide range of digital and enterprise solutions. Consult with stakeholders to specify requirements and solutions which address business challenges and opportunities. Serve as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure, performing design reviews and consulting with your teams to ensure design best practices. Participate in system and acceptance testing to ensure that systems are functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated. Lead, define and clearly communicate technical standards, governance, and compliance for cloud ecosystem. Lead the design, development, and evolution of cloud infrastructure. Establish and/or follow procedures and standards to ensure high quality and quantity of work. Establish or follow prioritization processes to drive work with a sense of urgency about getting work completed. Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information System, Cybersecurity, or a related field, and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Sr. Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, Tech Lead Data Engineer, Tech Lead Software Developer, Tech Lead System Engineer, or in a related position/occupation. Experience therein to include the following:
- 6 years developing application software, including code development, unit testing, and code reviews for complex business applications;
- 6 years developing cloud microservices and legacy back-end services;
- 6 years developing applications and microservices using React, Java, Python, and node;
- 4 years building AWS Cloud Infrastructure as a Service, including Kubernetes, VPC, lambdas, and API Gateway;
- 4 years building applications using infrastructure-as-code (IAC), such as Terraform ;
- 4 years building containerized solutions using Docker and Podman; and
- 2 years in leading development teams utilizing the above technologies.
Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
