Requires 4+ years of experience as a data engineer with strong SQL and ETL development skills. Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses like Google BigQuery is required, with preference for healthcare or life sciences industry experience.

Full description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build automated data pipelines that ingest and reconcile data from LTC, Compass, Data Factory, DLMP exports, and future Beaker exports.
  • Build and maintain the Google BigQuery (GBQ) data repository that hosts the crosswalk and comparison datasets.
  • Develop the automated comparison/visualization data layer used for the Test Classification Dashboard and Executive Impact Dashboard.
  • Support ongoing refinement of the crosswalk repository's data pipelines as DLMP source data changes over time.
  • Partner with the Software Engineer(s) to define data contracts/APIs that power the client-facing tools.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience as a data engineer or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery (GBQ) or an equivalent cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) required or strongly preferred.
  • Strong SQL and ETL/pipeline development experience across multiple source systems.
  • Experience with API integrations and scheduled/automated data exports.
  • Experience designing data models that support downstream dashboards and applications.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Google Cloud Data Fusion or similar ELT/ETL no-code pipeline tooling.
  • Healthcare, laboratory, or life sciences industry experience.
  • Experience supporting agentic AI or AI-assisted query tools (a future-state opportunity for this program).

  • Data layer supporting the Test Classification Dashboard and Executive Impact Dashboard
