Full description
- Design, implement, and
monitor information technology systems at a data center.
- Monitoring and
maintaining DC equipment, resolving issues as they arise, and planning for future growth or changes in technology.
- Installing and configuring new servers, storage
devices.
- Conducting capacity assessments of existing
infrastructure to ensure that it can support future growth.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of all server and
storage configurations and changes made to them.
- Performing regular backups of data.
- Providing technical support for applications and
operating systems used in the data center.
- Writing scripts to automate common processes within the
data center environment.
- Monitoring energy usage across the data centers to
ensure efficient operation.
- VMware Administration
experience ( ESXI , VCenter , VROPS , Replication, VRNI , VRLI, VSAN ).
- Storage Administration
experience ( SAN , NAS ) + SAN Switches - Perform daily Storage operational tasks, LUN/Space provisioning, monitoring, troubleshoot issues (e.g. latency, etc.), and initiate corrective actions.
- Perform problem
management and incident correlation on re-occurring issues; suggest and document workarounds & solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communication engineering, computer science or related field.
- 2+ Years of experience in storage
& backup systems, data protection and systems security across multiple redundant data centers.
- ITIL Foundation, ITIL Transition and ITIL Operation
certificates are a plus.
- Valid product certifications in technologies listed
below would be a major asset.
- Experience in backup software technologies, Veritas NetBackup and/or EMC NW are preferred.
- Experience in overall backup and storage design and
related issues.
- Experience in disk or tape-based backup hardware.
- Experience in storage hardware technologies; IBM, EMC or HP.
- Knowledge of SAN fabric technologies. Brocade or Cisco
MDS are preferred.
- knowledge of iSCSI and Fiber Channel infrastructure.
- Knowledge of VMware Infrastructure.
- Knowledge of HCI ( Nutanix & Vxrail ).
