Full description

ResQ is more than just an app – it’s a growing movement. We’re building a community that believes surplus goods deserve a second chance. We are on a mission to reduce food waste globally — and we are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer, Growth Marketing to bridge the gap between technical data infrastructure and hands-on growth marketing. Are you ready to build the engine for international growth in a company fighting food waste? Find out more about ResQ Club: https://www.resq-club.com/fi/

The role

As our Data Analytics Engineer, you’ll stand at the crossroads of data engineering, advanced analytics, and performance marketing. Unlike a traditional data engineer who solely models datasets, your focus will be on data activation - piping data into marketing systems, performing deep analysis of customer journeys, and creating end-to-end monitoring and optimization loops. You will play a critical role in scaling our two-sided marketplace by leveraging data to drive both supply and demand.

What you’ll do

  • Drive Data Activation & Journey Optimization: Implement and manage data flows into marketing automation platforms (e.g., Customer.io). Use data to monitor, evaluate, and optimize end-to-end customer and partner journeys.
  • Analyze Marketplace Dynamics & Economics: Evaluate supply-demand balance, neighborhood liquidity, sales rates, and geographic density to maximize localized GMV. Build models to track CAC, LTV, Payback Periods, and Contribution Margins.
  • Build Experimentation & Growth Loops: Design data infrastructure and statistical models for A/B testing (funnels, pricing elasticity, referral loops). Track product-led growth (PLG) mechanics to lower acquisition costs and boost Net Revenue Retention (NRR).
  • Integrate MarTech & Attribution: Connect core databases with marketing systems to trigger automated, personalized campaigns. Refine multi-touch attribution models to optimize budget allocation toward high-LTV channels.
  • Partner on Dynamic Pricing: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to model price elasticity and timing sensitivity for expiring food offers.

What we are looking for

  • Hands-on data activation experience: Proven ability to build and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and reverse ETL processes across APIs, databases, and marketing platforms.
  • High proficiency in SQL and Python with a strong background in relational databases, data warehouses, and data modeling.
  • Commercial & Growth mindset: Deep understanding of SaaS/marketplace metrics, unit economics (LTV, CAC, margins), cohort analysis, and product-led growth (PLG).
  • Experimentation expertise: Experience in statistical test design, hypothesis testing, conversion funnel optimization (CRO), and attribution modeling.
  • Cross-functional communicator: Ability to translate deep technical work into clear, actionable insights for product and marketing colleagues. You thrive in close partnership with team members who are tech-savvy but may not be as deep in data engineering or statistics.
  • Autonomous problem solver: Comfortable working across data engineering, analytics, BI dashboards, and business insights to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • AI-friendly approach: Enthusiastic about identifying and building practical ML- and AI-powered solutions.
  • Experience with tools such as BigQuery, dbt, Holistics, Customer.io, or similar marketing platforms.
