Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Python Web Application Developer with expertise in the Django framework to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience building serverless, microservices-based applications, with a strong background in AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, and software design principles. Candidates should have a strong analytical background and exceptional problem-solving abilities, coupled with a passion for innovation. This role will be instrumental in developing scalable, secure, and efficient web applications that support our company’s growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Python-based web applications using the Django framework, ensuring that they are scalable, secure, and performant.

• AWS & Serverless Architecture: Build and deploy applications on AWS using serverless and microservices architectures, utilizing services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, and other AWS tools as needed.

• Collaborative Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, DevOps, QA, and product managers to deliver feature-rich applications that meet business requirements.

• Software Design and Best Practices: Apply software design principles and best practices to ensure that applications are maintainable, modular, and highly testable. Create detailed design documentation, code reviews, and unit/integration tests.

• Production Support and Troubleshooting: Use application monitoring and logging solutions to quickly identify and resolve issues in production environments.

Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in web application development using Python and Django.

• Strong understanding of AWS services (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, etc.).

• Proficiency in Python and Django, including Django REST Framework (DRF) for building APIs.

• Experience with building highly distributed and scalable solutions via serverless, micro-service and service oriented architecture

• Good Understanding of Unit test frameworks, code quality tools and CICD

• Familiarity with database management and ORM concepts, including experience with both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases.

• Ability to learn new skills, tools, development kits, frameworks, etc independently.

• Understanding of end-to-end software development lifecycle and Agile methodology.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and critical thinking.

• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.

• Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
