QA Automation Engineer

We are Infrrd, an Enterprise AI company helping global enterprises extract data from complex, unstructured documents like invoices, contracts, engineering drawings, and handwritten notes. Our AI goes beyond data extraction to automate end-to-end workflows, reducing manual effort, improving accuracy, and accelerating business operations.

 

About the Role

We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer to build and maintain the automated tests that keep our AI platform reliable at scale.

You'll work hands-on across UI and API automation — Playwright for our Angular and React applications, and API suites for our Spring Boot and Python microservices — working closely with developers and product managers through every sprint.

 

What You'll Do

• Design, write, and maintain automated UI tests with Playwright for our Angular and React

• Build and maintain API automation for Spring Boot and Python microservices, including regression and integration suites.

• Translate requirements into clear, reproducible test cases and own functional and regression testing for your product area.

• Validate data end to end — from API request through microservices to MongoDB — and catch issues before customers do.

• Run suites in CI, triage failures quickly, and fix flaky tests rather than muting

• Log well-documented defects and drive them to closure with

• Continuously expand automation coverage and contribute improvements back to the shared

• Participate in sprint ceremonies, review acceptance criteria early, and flag testability gaps before code is written.

 

What You'll Bring

• 2–4 years in QA with hands-on test automation

• Hands-on experience with Playwright (or Selenium/Cypress, with the appetite to move to Playwright) using TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.

• Solid API testing experience with REST services using Postman, REST Assured, Pytest, or

• Good programming ability in at least one of JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or

• Working knowledge of databases and data validation — MongoDB or other NoSQL preferred, SQL welcome.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and running automated tests as part of the

• Strong grounding in testing fundamentals — test design techniques, risk-based prioritisation, and the defect lifecycle.

• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and clear written 

 

Nice to Have

• Exposure to AI/ML products — testing document extraction accuracy or validating model

• Experience with performance testing (JMeter, k6) or basic security

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes-based test

• Experience with AI-assisted development and testing tools like Claude
