Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting (6-Month Contract) – Toronto, ON
Salary range: 85k-95K
As a key member of the Finance project team, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting various projects, including NetCash that is being implemented to automate bank reconciliations. Primary focus is to transition traditional manual reconciliation workflow into an automated NetCash environment, ensuring real time visibility into cash balances that supports the company’s quarterly external reporting. The successful candidate will help implement NetCash and other finance projects as required and ensure the necessary organizational and compliance controls are maintained.

• Play a key role in supporting the NetCash project that is being implemented to automate bank reconciliations, transaction matching and cash flow reporting directly inside NetSuite
• Support the rigorous end-to-end testing process on the system components to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data as part of the NetCash module project
• Support and manage the automation rules that are appropriate to minimise the time-lag variances between the bank data and the internal ledgers
• Identify financial risks or gaps in the new software and suggest safety controls to ensure the new system meets financial controls and accurately processes transactions
• Write clear standard operating procedures (SOP) for daily NetCash use
• Support the team in the account reconciliations and financial analysis for balance sheet accounts and identify and set up the appropriate reports that are required to manage the new automated reconciliation process.
• Support the month-end close activities, including journal entries and analysis of assigned accounts
• Participate in process improvement initiatives for other finance projects
• Other duties as assigned
What you need to be successful
• CPA designation or CPA eligibility is preferred
• 3 to 5 years in a similar Senior Financial Analyst role
• A degree in Business with relevant finance experience
• Experience with month-end reporting (including high volume Bank Reconciliations, Journal Entry posting, Accruals, etc.)
• Experience in working with high volume transaction bank accounts
• Proven ability to work with highly confidential information with professionalism and tact
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• The ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize workflow
• Must be detail-oriented
• Working knowledge of NetSuite
