Full description
Amazon Wholesale India Private Limited (AWIPL) is Amazon's 1P B2B retail entity in India, serving enterprise and business customers across the large indirect-spend market. We are looking for a data-driven Business Analyst to be the analytical backbone of the AWIPL business and product team — turning raw data into the timely, accurate insights that leaders use to run the business every week.
In this role you will own AWIPL's core reporting and analytics: the weekly business review (WBR) data and deck, automated flash reporting, and the deep-dive analyses that inform selection, pricing, in-stock, and GMS decisions. You will work closely with the Product, Business (VM), and Finance partners, and report into the AWIPL Product team. Success in this role means leaders trust the numbers, reports arrive on time, and manual reporting is progressively automated.
Key job responsibilities Own and publish the weekly AWIPL Pre-WBR deck — GMS (CPS + SSR) splits, WoW variance, goal-to-goal (G2G) tracking- restructuring metrics as owners' needs evolve. Build and maintain automated flash reporting at ASIN and Brand level. Write, optimize, and maintain queries and pipelines on Data Central / DWP / Amazon internal data platforms (ETL profiles, InsightCrafter), and build self-service dashboards for business teams. Ensure data quality and accuracy — validate outputs before publishing, reconcile against goals, and drive root-cause fixes on data defects so business-facing reports are consistently correct. Deliver ad-hoc deep dives and data requests for partner teams and support monthly business reviews. Build scalable, automated tooling to reduce manual reporting effort and eliminate recurring data-prep work. Communicate findings clearly to business and leadership audiences.
A day in the life You start the week preparing the Pre-WBR deck, validating the automated flash output that went out Sunday, and clearing any data-quality flags raised by partners. Mid-week you turn to a deep-dive request from the VM or Finance team, optimize a slow query on Data Central, and extend a dashboard. Throughout, you partner with the Product team to make sure every number a leader sees is accurate and on time.
About the team AWIPL is Amazon India's 1P B2B business. This role sits within the AWIPL Product organization and partners daily with Business (VM), Finance, and Tech to run the weekly business rhythm and inform decisions on selection, pricing, in-stock, and growth.
