Summary of role purpose:

The role will play a central part in delivering the audit practice’s most significant AI‑led transformations, including the accreditation and deployment of Agentic platforms and solutions, as well as re‑imagining central audit functions through AI. These initiatives are critical to scaling audit quality, accelerating delivery, and reshaping how audit expertise is accessed and consumed across the firm.

Description of the role:

An AI Senior Product Manager within Audit’s Clara Innovation & Deployment team drives the strategy, roadmap, and execution of AI and machine learning‑powered products that enhance audit quality, efficiency, and insight. This role serves as the critical link between auditors, data scientists, engineers, and governance stakeholders to ensure the development of scalable, ethical, and high‑impact AI solutions across the audit practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the product management contribution to the accreditation, deployment, and adoption of agentic platforms and solutions, working closely with audit quality, risk, and governance stakeholders to enable safe, scalable use of advanced AI capabilities.
  • Drive the re‑imagining of audit functions through AI, translating strategic intent into AI‑enabled products and workflows that transform service delivery, improve responsiveness, and unlock new sources of audit insight.
  • Define and manage the product vision, roadmap, and delivery strategy for AI and machine learning solutions within the audit domain.
  • Translate complex audit processes and business needs into clear, prioritised product requirements that leverage AI and ML capabilities.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, architects, and governance leads to deliver compliant, secure, and effective AI solutions.
  • Ensure ethical and responsible AI design through alignment with Responsible AI frameworks, bias mitigation, transparency, and robust model lifecycle management.
  • Track product success through adoption metrics, value measures, and user feedback, adjusting roadmaps accordingly.
  • Engage with audit stakeholders to prioritise features, validate solutions, and drive user‑centric product design.
  • Lead cross‑functional delivery teams using agile methodologies, ensuring alignment to audit quality, risk, and strategic business outcomes.
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging AI and ML technologies and their potential application within the audit profession.

Current and Upcoming Focus Areas

  • AI‑enabled audit agents and copilots embedded into core audit workflows.
  • Scaling GenAI platforms (e.g. M365 Copilot and audit‑specific AI platforms e.g. Clara AI & Clara Data Labs) with appropriate governance, monitoring, and accreditation.
  • Industrialising AI delivery through AI‑driven engineering approaches, reusable components, and platform‑led delivery models (AI Factory patterns).
  • Responsible AI governance, including model lifecycle management, auditability, transparency, and regulatory alignment.
  • Driving measurable adoption, value realisation, and change management for AI across the audit practice.

Due to the nature of the position, you may be working at/visiting a client site and/or other KPMG offices.

Experience and knowledge requirements:

  • Proven experience defining and delivering product vision, strategy and roadmaps for AI, data or tech-enabled products, from discovery through to deployment, adoption and value realisation. (E)
  • Strong ability to translate complex business, audit and user needs into clear, prioritised product requirements and practical AI-enabled use cases. (E)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and working effectively with engineers, data scientists, architects, governance leads and business stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant and scalable solutions. (E)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior audiences, build alignment, manage competing priorities and respond constructively to feedback. (E)
  • Commercial and strategic judgement, including the ability to prioritise work based on business value, audit quality, risk, feasibility and measurable outcomes. (E)
  • Understanding of responsible AI, data governance, model lifecycle management, transparency and risk considerations relevant to AI solutions in a regulated or professional services environment. (E)
  • Experience working in agile, iterative delivery environments, using user feedback, adoption metrics and value measures to refine products and improve outcomes. (E)
  • Experience managing, developing or coaching team members, with the ability to create momentum, bring people together and support high-performing delivery teams. (D)
  • Technical product management experience or skills, including the ability to work closely with engineering squads, understand technical trade-offs, shape delivery plans and support technical delivery of AI use cases. (D)
  • Experience in audit, assurance, professional services or another regulated environment, with an understanding of audit quality, risk and governance expectations. (D)
  • Relevant professional, audit, product management or product leadership qualifications. (D)
