AERMOR is seeking a Network Systems Administrator to provide comprehensive support for the NSWC PCD network infrastructure. This role includes the installation, configuration, upgrading, and decommissioning of hardware and software components, with a strong focus on network integrity, cybersecurity compliance, and user support in accordance with Government standards and security directives.
This is not a remote position.
Key Responsibilities: • Install, reconfigure, upgrade, and replace or remove hardware and software components on the NSWC PCD network.
- Perform client-side configuration changes due to personnel moves, software upgrades, and reassignments.
- Ensure all updates and changes comply with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Provide desktop support for networked Microsoft Windows systems on compatible hardware.
- Troubleshoot network-related issues, install software and hardware, and ensure seamless connectivity to the network in compliance with NSWC PCD SOPs and industry best practices.
- Provide daily support for both RDT&E desktops and servers during Government Core and Flex hours.
- Utilize Government-provided work order software to receive assignments, track progress, and report completed tasks.
- Conduct weekly Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans and generate reports for all RDT&E lab networks and detached networks.
- Support RDT&E laboratory ISSOs in the remediation of vulnerabilities identified during scans.
- Ensure compliance with NETWARCOM Cyber Tasking Orders (CTO) 10-084-84A and 10-25 for scanning and labeling all external USB drives.
- Input and manage asset data in the NSWC PCD CITI system and other inventory databases.
- Report equipment or software deficiencies promptly.
- Collect, prepare, and process hardware for disposal to DRMO in accordance with HAZMAT and DoD protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications: • Certifications/Access Requirements:• Must meet IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security)
