As a Senior Technical Delivery Manager, you will own a portfolio of support, maintenance, and enhancement work across client retainers. Partnering closely with engineering teams, you’ll drive high-quality delivery, optimise workflows, and build strong, trusted client relationships. You bring clarity to complexity, balancing delivery rigour with product thinking while continuously improving how work gets done.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Oversee the delivery of technical enhancements, website support, and maintenance across the technical portfolio of client retainers, partnering closely with the dedicated development team to manage workloads effectively and ensure high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.
  • Drive backlog refinement and capacity planning, utilising Kanban boards and Agile principles to optimise workflow, ensure consistent velocity, and manage the flow of work efficiently across the portfolio.
  • Foster strong collaboration across internal and client teams, leveraging Agile/Scrum principles to remove bottlenecks, enhance workflow efficiency, and solve technical challenges.
  • Act as the primary day-to-day client contact, cultivating trusted, long-term partnerships while effectively managing expectations and communicating risks and progress.
  • Optimise support & maintenance operations by implementing continuous improvement processes and enhancing technical delivery standards to drive operational excellence.
  • Support the identification and delivery of new opportunities within existing accounts and drive the delivery of new, emergent projects.

QUALITIES & CHARACTERISTICS

  • Experience delivering digital products in technical, continuous delivery environments.
  • Strong Agile capability and comfort working closely with engineers.
  • Understanding of modern architectures (headless, composable, cloud-based).
  • Confident stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
  • Interest in AI and emerging technologies.
