This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UX Researcher Consultant based in Brazil.
This consulting role offers the opportunity to shape digital transformation initiatives through rigorous, human-centered research and evidence-based design. You will investigate the needs, behaviours, motivations, and experiences of staff, members, and other stakeholders across a range of digital products and services. The role combines qualitative and quantitative research with practical collaboration across product, design, development, and transformation teams. Your findings will directly influence product strategy, service design, usability, accessibility, and digital engagement initiatives. You will contribute to projects spanning website experiences, member and conference participant journeys, and document management systems. The position also provides an opportunity to establish scalable UX research practices, toolkits, and guidelines within a complex international environment. This six-month consulting engagement is well suited to an experienced UX researcher who can independently lead studies while translating research evidence into clear, actionable recommendations.

Accountabilities
- Plan and conduct UX research using interviews, surveys, usability testing, ethnographic studies, and other appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Analyze user behaviours, needs, motivations, and experiences to identify meaningful patterns and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate research findings into actionable, evidence-based recommendations for product managers, designers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Develop personas, user journey maps, user stories, and other research artifacts that inform digital product and service design.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure user insights are incorporated throughout product development and delivery.
- Facilitate participatory design activities, co-creation sessions, and workshops with staff, members, and relevant stakeholders.
- Evaluate digital experiences against usability, accessibility, and inclusive design principles and recommend improvements.
- Produce structured research plans, reports, findings, and supporting documentation from interviews, surveys, usability studies, and other research activities.
- Contribute research insights and recommendations to website redesign, member experience, conference participant experience, and document management initiatives.
- Develop and document UX research toolkits, processes, standards, and guidelines to help institutionalize user research practices across relevant teams.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional experience conducting UX research and applying human-centered design principles to digital product development.
- Advanced knowledge of UX research methodologies, human-centered design, and user-centered product development.
- Demonstrated experience designing and conducting usability testing, user interviews, surveys, ethnographic research, and other qualitative or quantitative studies.
- Strong ability to analyze and synthesize user data and translate findings into practical, actionable product and design recommendations.
- Proven experience developing personas, journey maps, user stories, research reports, and other UX research deliverables.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards, inclusive design, and designing digital experiences for diverse user groups.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with product managers, designers, developers, transformation teams, and other multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Experience working in international, institutional, or multi-stakeholder environments is highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of French is an advantage.
- Advanced university degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent advanced qualification.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple research activities, and deliver high-quality outputs within defined timelines.
