Job Description

Finance Specialist 

You enable accurate financial reporting for Rabobank’s internal management and regulators in a challenging international environment. Please note that we are looking for 2 people, a medior (in scale 9) and a senior (in scale 10)

You & your role 

As Finance Specialist, you know the secrets of turning complex financial data into reliable reporting. You provide financial information for internal and external reporting, prepare FINREP and annual accounts, and help improve reporting processes. Your work supports decisions by senior management and helps Rabobank meet the expectations of regulators.

  • Deliver reliable financial information for internal management, annual accounts and regulatory reporting. 
  • Improve reporting quality by structurally solving data quality issues and inconsistencies. 
  • Support better decisions by turning financial data into clear and accurate reports. 

Facts & figures 

  • 36 hours per week. 
  • 7 squads and approximately 100 employees in the Area Finance Reporting. 
  • 9 million customers worldwide. 

Top 3 responsibilities 

  • Prepare financial reports for Rabobank, including FINREP, annual accounts and reports for regulators. 
  • Collect, validate and analyse data from different sources to solve inconsistencies and errors. 
  • Improve current reporting processes by increasing quality and reducing manual effort where possible. 

You are part of Tribe External Reporting. Within Area Finance Reporting, you work closely with colleagues in Finance, IT and Data, as well as local finance, policies and regulations, business control and international regulators.

You & your talent 

  • University-level financial education, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience. 
  • In-depth knowledge of financial products and IFRS. 
  • Extensive experience with financial reporting regulations. 
  • Strong affinity with data and IT, such as Knime or SQL. 
  • Good communication skills in English and/or Dutch, in speaking and writing. 
  • Strong analytical skills with large volumes of Finance and Risk data. 
  • Ability to connect different data sources and bring clarity to complex matters. 
  • Customer-oriented, convincing, proactive and result-oriented way of working. 
  • Eagerness to learn, take responsibility and work independently.
