Company Description

VERSANT (Nasdaq: VSNT) is an industry-changing media and entertainment business and home to trusted brands that shape culture, inform audiences, and build lasting connections. It operates across four core markets: political news and opinion, business news and personal finance, golf, and sports and genre entertainment. These markets are served through a powerful portfolio of iconic and innovative brands, including CNBC, MS NOW, USA Network, Golf Channel, Oxygen, E!, SYFY, and Versant's sports division USA Sports, along with complementary digital assets including Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow and GolfPass.

Job Description

We’re looking for a driven and curious Senior Product Manager to help build a new generation of AI-

powered equity research products for individual investors.

This role sits at the intersection of consumer SaaS, equity research, and AI. You will work with a high-

caliber team that brings together top-tier engineering and buy-side talent, including analysts with prior

experience at firms such as Millennium, Point72, and KKR.

We believe that everybody should be an investor and our mission is to help everyday people succeed in

the stock market. The legacy stock-picking and financial research services are a multibillion-dollar

business but are not living up to expectations anymore. We are building a market-leading product for the

next generation of investors.

In this role you will help shape core product experiences for our AI equity research platform, with a focus

on features that help retail investors find, understand, and evaluate investment opportunities such as

research reports, stock picks and discover screens.

It is a great fit for someone who wants to stay close to users, product details, and execution. You do not

need to be an equity analyst, but you should be an individual investor and understand how retail

investors think and how public equities are researched.

You will help identify the highest-value customer problems, define clear product requirements, validate

product assumptions, and partner with engineers and analysts to ship experiences that make

institutional-quality research accessible and actionable for a large retail investor audience.

The team is part of a new organization, which means you will have meaningful influence over how

products are shaped and how our product culture develops.

We believe in strong customer discovery (JTBD), empowered product teams, shipping useful products

quickly, and iterating based on real behavior. For the right person, this is an opportunity to take on

significant ownership early and grow quickly as the platform and team scale.

What You’ll Do:

 Own and evolve core product experiences for stock research and discovery

features

 Conduct product discovery (interviews) with retail investors to understand how

they identify ideas, evaluate stocks, build conviction, and make investment

decisions

 Translate customer needs and market insights into clear product opportunities,

requirements, and execution plans

 Play an integral role in defining how AI-generated insights are presented so that

users can understand the reasoning, evidence and assumptions behind

recommendations

 Define success metrics, analyze user behavior, run experiments, synthesize

feedback, and iterate quickly based on what users actually do

 Communicate product strategy, tradeoffs, decisions, and progress clearly across

Product, Design, Engineering, Equity Research and senior leadership

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Min of 5+ years of product management experience building and scaling consumer (B2C) subscription products, in fintech, retail investing, financial media, or other consumer financial products.
  • Experience owning paid subscription growth, engagement, or retention is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to take features and products from discovery through launch, including customer interviews, product requirements, execution, and post-launch measurement.
  • Strong understanding of public equity markets and the retail investor experience. You understand how individual investors research companies, evaluate investment opportunities, build portfolios, and use financial news, data, and AI-powered tools to inform investment decisions. Personal investing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to combine customer insights and your own product judgment to deliver delightful products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate user problems, product rationale, requirements, tradeoffs, and launch plans.
  • High agency, intellectual curiosity, and comfortable operating in an ambiguous environment.
