Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, or Data Analytics. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in business or financial analysis is required, with preference given to those with experience in the mining, energy, or natural resources sectors.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business acumen and the ability to identify, collect and translate data into supporting documentation and information useful for corporate decision-making.

  • Identify, source, prepare and present financial, industry, counterpart, project and other data and information to support corporate objectives
  • Present the data in useful and discernable formats to be enable corporate decision-making and analysis
  • Maintain and improve reporting systems, databases, and analytical tools.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Utilize business intelligence tools to collect and utilize underlying source data in support or corporate objectives and transactions
  • Analyze financial, project, counterpart and industry data to in support of corporate objectives
  • Support strategic planning and business improvement initiatives through presentations and analysis of sourced data to better inform decision-making
  • Prepare models of the financial, capital, and share impacts of proposed corporate actions and transactions
  • Using data collected or otherwise, prepare analysis of potential acquisitions, dispositions, financings and other corporate activities.
  • Support due diligence activities, project evaluations, and strategic business initiatives.

  • Develop presentations and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Assist in preparing board or committee materials for corporate objectives and transactions require board approval

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3-4 years of business analysis, financial analysis, operational analysis, or related experience.
  • Experience in mining, natural resources, energy preferred.
  • Experience supporting operational teams and executive decision-making.
