Rate: £17.83/hr Umbrella

Summary

  • We are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented IT Service Desk Analyst to join our team on an 8-month contract with a local authority. This role is pivotal in providing first-line IT support throughout the organization. As the initial point of contact for users, you will manage IT incidents, service requests, and inquiries, ensuring swift and effective resolution while upholding high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate will assist with account administration, access management, and operational support, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of IT services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for all IT incidents, service requests, and user inquiries.
  • Record, update, and manage incidents and requests using the IT Service Management (ITSM) platform.
  • Resolve issues at first contact whenever possible, escalating complex problems as needed.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot a variety of first-line hardware, software, and access-related issues.
  • Assist with user account administration, including password resets and access management.
  • Maintain detailed records of incidents, resolutions, and service requests.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, keeping them informed about progress and expected resolution times.

Requirements:

  • Experience in an IT Service Desk, Helpdesk, or IT Support environment.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
  • Capability to diagnose and resolve a wide range of first-line technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
  • Relevant IT qualification or equivalent practical experience.

  • Contract Rate: £17.83/hr Umbrella
  • Working hours: 37 hours per week
  • Location: Chichester/Power Place
  • Working arrangements: Hybrid model with initial office attendance for training, transitioning to a mix of office and home-based work.
