What this opportunity involves:
JLL is seeking a Retail Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of retail branch and customer-facing environment projects for a banking client. This role manages multiple concurrent projects—from concept through close-out—coordinating internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and vendors to deliver safe, compliant, on-time, and on-budget outcomes with minimal disruption to business operations and customers.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead project planning and delivery for retail fit-outs, refurbishments, minor works, and refresh programs across multiple sites.
- Manage project scope, schedules, risk registers, change control, and reporting (including governance packs and executive updates).
- Coordinate stakeholders across property, security, IT, brand, HSE, and business operations to ensure approvals and readiness.
- Procure and manage consultants/contractors, oversee tendering, contract administration, and supplier performance.
- Manage budget tracking, forecasting, progress claims, variations, and final account close-out.
- Ensure quality, safety, and compliance (including site safety, permit-to-work processes, and banking site requirements).
- Drive site handover, defects management, and lessons learned to continuously improve delivery outcomes.

- Degree qualified, preferably of an engineering discipline
- Demonstrated project management experience delivering retail or customer-facing environments (e.g., branches, retail, hospitality) with multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong cost, schedule, and risk management capability across end-to-end delivery.
- Experience managing external consultants and contractors, including tendering and contract administration.
- Working knowledge of construction/fit-out processes, quality management, and HSE obligations.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including presenting project updates to senior stakeholders.
- Experience delivering projects in regulated environments (banking/financial services, secure sites, critical operations).
- Experience with workplace standards/brand standards rollouts across a multi-site portfolio.
- Formal project management qualification or certification (e.g., Prince2, PMP) or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with building services coordination and retail technology dependencies (security, comms/IT, access control).
