SUMMARY
Assist with the support, installation, and maintenance of various information systems hardware, software, and telephone systems. At peak times during the winter season, the pace of work can be rapid, requiring the ability to prioritize, work with frequent interruptions, and exercise an appropriate sense of urgency. During the off-season, work focuses more on projects and upgrades, and less on support. Off-season periods require an applicant who is self-motivated and able to complete projects with little or no assistance from others. Due to the variety in workloads and environment, the applicant must be flexible and able to adjust their focus quickly when priorities change without advance notice. As a customer-focused organization, internal and external guest relations are very important.
Duties and Responsibilities are (but not limited to):
Support and maintain a wide range of corporate and resort systems, including connectivity, hardware, and software solutions. Supported systems include accesso Siriusware, accesso Passport, accesso Freedom, Axess Gates, virtual (VMWare) Windows Servers in an AD environment, SonicWALL NSA Firewall, Barracuda backup, Office365, and Avaya IP Office. Work with small IT team consisting of two to three members managing Help Desk support function. Provide technical end-user support for phone and email inquiries for problems with resort systems. Perform second and some third level problem support and/or resolution of client issues, by phone, in person and remotely. Be the final escalation point for most technical issues. Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis directly on servers and to domain using WSUS. Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Participate on an ongoing basis in the formulation, implementation and enforcement of proper resort and corporate system usage and support policies. Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures. Educate and Train end-users in the use of core business applications and assist them in improving their efficiency with system procedures.

The ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and make important decisions on team’s workload, scope, and objectives. The ability to work flexible hours is necessary. The ability to work weekends and holidays during operational season (Nov – Apr).
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY 1. Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort guests at all times. 2. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay. 3. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor. 4. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures. 5. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline, or at least 5 years of experience working in a similar environment. Ability to Read/ Understand PowerShell Scripts and their current implementation within the environment. Further experience a plus. Experience with Point-of-Sale systems, accesso Siriusware POS experience is desired. Extensive knowledge of Windows Server systems (Windows Server 2016 and newer servers, MS SQL Server, and VMware ESX 7.0 and newer) and applications (DNS, DHCP, DFSR, IIS, etc). Linux experience a plus. Experience with Active Directory and GPO’s. Experience and knowledge of MS Office products, Office365, Azure AD, Teams, and SharePoint. Working knowledge of VOIP phone systems, specifically: administration, voice mail, and inbound/outbound call management software. Understanding of various cabling topologies and protocols, including; Ethernet, Fiber, and Wireless including knowledge of HPE Aruba switches and Ubiquiti WAPs. Ability to effectively multitask with a wide variety of company personnel and departments. Good understanding of Internet concepts, facilities, automation, and e-commerce.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems or other related discipline, or five years of related information systems background or combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Resort certification on any necessary equipment.
