Position Summary

Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking an Application / DevSecOps / QA Engineer to support Air National Guard Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Office (ANG CDAO) Support Services. The Application / DevSecOps / QA Engineer will provide lifecycle sustainment, release engineering, testing, monitoring, defect remediation, and reliability support for mission applications including the ANGRC HR Management Tool, Flying Hour Tool, Commander’s Hub, and ANG Kneeboard. This role will strengthen automated delivery controls and production quality across pipelines and applications.  Key Responsibilities

  • Provide application sustainment, production monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, defect remediation, and reliability support.
  • Develop and maintain Git-based CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, tests, security checks, release gates, and deployment processes.
  • Plan and execute unit, integration, regression, functional, and release-readiness testing and maintain auditable test evidence.
  • Manage application configurations, release artifacts, versioning, environments, and deployment documentation.
  • Monitor application and pipeline performance, investigate failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with developers, data engineers, security personnel, users, and platform teams to resolve lifecycle issues.
  • Support secure software-development practices, quality reviews, technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience with application sustainment, DevSecOps, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and quality assurance.
  • Experience with release and configuration management, APIs, monitoring, incident management, and defect tracking.
  • Knowledge of secure software development and controlled deployment practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Must satisfy applicable DoD/DAF security, cybersecurity-awareness, CUI, OPSEC, and access-training requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant cloud, DevSecOps, testing, or security certification.
  • Experience supporting DoD application environments.
  • Experience with Power Platform, Azure, Databricks, or related enterprise platforms.

Salary range $125,000 to $150,000 annually  The salary range is a general guideline. We consider several factors when determining base salary offers, including the position's scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, and skills, and current market conditions.
