Senior Product Manager

The position is a specialized business development and strategy professional responsible for driving profitable growth within specific international trade lanes. The incumbent acts as a crucial link between sales, procurement, and operations, focusing on market expansion and optimizing service offerings for a given route (i.e. US Trade Lane).

Business Development & Sales

• Actively generate high-profile leads, target new customers,
• Lead the conversion of high-value business opportunities within their assigned trade lane(s).
• This often involves international travel to meet clients and overseas partners.

Market Analysis & Strategy

• Conduct in-depth market research and analyse competitor solutions, pricing strategies,and trade lane dynamics to identify untapped sectors and inform business planning.

Pricing & Solution Development

• The RDM steers the pricing levels for their trade and has significant authority over pricing
• Decisions for local and global tenders (RFQs).
• Collaborate closely with product and procurement teams to develop innovative, tailored solutions that meet customer demands and align with carrier conditions.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders,including internal sales teams, overseas network offices, and external carriers (shipping lines/airlines) to ensure seamless communication
• Execution of trade plans.

Profitability Monitoring

• A key function is to monitor and scrutinize the profitability of their client base and trade lane,
• Prevent revenue leakage and ensure sustained, profitable growth.

Expertise & Guidance

• Serve as a subject matter expert for their specific trade lane.
• Providing guidance and market insights to sales teams and management to help them win business.
