Senior DevOps Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

• Support and design highly available, redundant, public multi-cloud services
• Utilizing IaaS and PaaS infra for large-scale mission-critical applications and high-transactional workloads with an emphasis on infrastructure and delivery principles in the Cloud and On-Premise
• Understand the challenges of large-scale hybrid cloud deployments as well as multiple-type resource allocation
• Understand CI/CD principles to implement automation and a full application delivery pipeline
• Design and innovate technologies and solutions for effective resource allocation, automated application deployment with zero downtime upgrades and maintenance

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Production Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or a related role
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, with Azure highly preferred
• Strong understanding of networking, storage, security, and cloud infrastructure architecture
• Solid experience with Terraform and Terragrunt and Infrastructure as Code practices
• Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and Jenkins
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes infrastructure and operations
• Experience with infrastructure and cloud migrations
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation
• Strong scripting and automation skills
• Ability to learn and work effectively with a wide range of technologies and tools
• Hands-on experience using AI-powered development and engineering tools in everyday work

Desirable:

• Experience in the development and maintenance of IT scripts, and Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools
• Experience with Ansible
• Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
• Experience with Microsoft Server technology, including SQL Server, IIS, and Active Directory
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure components: VMs, AD/DNS, LBs
• Deep understanding of networking: Routers, Switching, Firewalls, Proxies, Load balancers, VPNs
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and related container patterns of deployment
• VMware ESXi experience
• Strong scripting skills
• Ability to use a variety of open-source technologies and tools
• Technical experience in data center operations support in large enterprise networks, including the implementation and support of private and hybrid cloud computing environments
