Position Summary
The Business Process Analyst, Commercial is responsible for improving customer-facing and commercial business processes across IGF. This role partners with Sales, Purchasing, Vendor Relations, Customer Service, and Marketing to standardize workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, improve the customer experience, and ensure business processes support scalable, sustainable growth.
The position combines process improvement, data analysis, documentation, and project management to develop, implement, and verify commercial standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate commercial workflows to improve efficiency and enhance the customer experience
- Lead initiatives that simplify processes and eliminate unnecessary work
- Identify opportunities to improve collaboration across commercial departments
- Measure outcomes and recommend ongoing improvements
SOP Governance
- Develop and maintain commercial SOPs
- Document workflows, policies, and best practices
- Maintain accurate process documentation
- Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure consistency and compliance
Commercial Partnership
Supporting initiatives across:
- Sales
- Customer Service
- Marketing
- Purchasing
- Vendor Relations
- Product Management
Data and Analysis
- Analyze sales, purchasing, and customer service metrics
- Identify trends and process improvement opportunities
- Partner with IT to improve reporting and workflows
- Support CRM and other commercial system enhancements
Project Management
- Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives
- Coordinate implementation activities across departments and teams
- Develop project timelines and monitor execution
- Present recommendations and project outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain, or related field
- Minimum five years of experience in commercial operations, sales operations, purchasing, customer service, or business process improvement.
- Experience documenting business processes and SOPs
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and facilitation abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems
Preferred:
- Experience with CRM and ERP platforms
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience within food distribution, wholesale distribution, or manufacturing

Travel Requirements: Up to 20% travel, primarily to the Woodbridge, VA office, with occasional travel to Atlanta, GA; Charleston, SC; and Chicago, IL.
