The Enterprise Design & Research team is a global team of highly talented multi-disciplinary designers and researchers. We are highly embedded within the digital product management organization and lead design efforts from concept through to production for the largest servicing channels for American Express, across web, mobile and push.
Role Description
This Senior Product Designer will define the visual quality and user experience of travel related journeys across native mobile and web platforms. This role is intended for a designer with exceptional visual craft—someone with a refined eye for typography, layout, motion, interaction, and detail who consistently delivers elegant, premium digital experiences. Beyond creating intuitive user journeys, this designer will establish a high bar for visual excellence, bringing a strong point of view that elevates both individual products and the broader design organization.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Content Design, this role independently leads complex initiatives from discovery through delivery, translating customer needs and business objectives into polished, production-ready experiences. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of shipping successful digital products, thrives in cross-functional product teams, and confidently communicates design decisions to stakeholders at every level. As a senior individual contributor, this designer leads through craft, execution, and influence, mentoring peers while championing outstanding visual design across travel journeys.
