Full description

We are seeking an experienced Drywall Project Manager to lead commercial interior construction projects from award through final closeout. This role is responsible for overseeing projects involving commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and commercial flooring, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial interiors and excels at coordinating field operations, managing subcontractors, controlling project costs, and maintaining positive relationships with general contractors, vendors, and clients. This position is ideal for a proactive leader who can successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities• Manage commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and flooring projects from preconstruction through closeout.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and overall project execution strategies.
  • Review contracts, construction drawings, specifications, and scope documents to ensure complete project understanding.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, owners, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel throughout each project.
  • Monitor labor productivity, material procurement, equipment, subcontractor performance, and overall project costs.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to verify quality, safety, schedule compliance, and production progress.
  • Identify project risks, resolve field issues, and implement solutions to minimize delays and cost impacts.
  • Lead project meetings and provide consistent communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely completion of punch lists, closeout documentation, and final project turnover.
  • 3–8 years of project management experience in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, or related interior construction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction practices, project scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and cost control.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience managing multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with field and office teams.
  • Commercial interior construction experience is required.
