Sr. Product Insights Analyst role is critical to driving the growth and success of our rapidly expanding Ed-Tech company, Sophia Learning. This role will partner with the Product and Engineering teams to shape the learner experience on our proprietary platform by designing, launching, and analyzing the results of multivariate A/B tests for new product features and enhancements. You’ll use click-level platform data to uncover deep insights that enable a granular understanding of user behavior and patterns to help inform opportunities for net-new feature development and redesign. This role will be ideal for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable with ambiguity, relentless in their pursuit of solving difficult problems, enjoys answering complex questions, and is experienced in translating complex data into simple narratives. This person will be instrumental in helping to shape and define the near- and long-term strategies at Sophia Learning.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, launch, and analyze sound A/B test strategies for new product features, engagement strategies, and onboarding improvements.
- Uncover learner behavior using click, engagement and subscription data to identify opportunities for retention, platform experience, and onboarding improvements.
- Define key metrics and success measures for new product launches and track them over time.
- Interpret key results to guide rollout recommendations, test iterations, and future platform enhancements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Academics to ensure a sound understanding of how user behaviors impact and serve as inputs to our data ecosystem
- Identify, visualize, and extract Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to aid in key decision-making strategies and the development of impactful action plans.
- Effectively communicate key insights to the senior leadership teams and facilitate understanding for both data-savvy and non-savvy audiences, pulling together a succinct “data story”.
- Use best-in-class techniques to build robust Power BI reports that allow a variety of teams and partners the opportunity to self-serve accurate and meaningful data stories and trends.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from various stakeholders while prioritizing the appropriate work in a fast-paced business environment.
- Be a mentor and leader to junior analysts – including assisting in code development and review, Power BI reporting strategies, and providing A+ consulting advice and feedback.

- Strong understanding of analytic tools and one or more programming languages.
- Experience querying databases to build actionable data visualizations from enterprise data visualization software such as: Power BI or Tableau.
- Possess advanced Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts), and the ability to learn on the fly.
- Ability to construct test design and perform ad-hoc statistical analysis to measure the impact of strategic business initiative.
- Experience with Salesforce data and reports a plus.
- Experience with python and BigQuery a plus.
- Experience with subscription-based data a plus.
- Experience with platform behavior data a plus.
Work Experience:
- 4+ years of experience working in a consultative-style data-driven business analytics role required.
- 2+ years or experience working in a SaaS based business supporting product analytics preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields (Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analysis, Data Science) or relevant work experience in a fast-paced growth industry required.
- Master’s degree in business-focused disciplines preferred.
Other:
- Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise. For most roles travel would not be common. Travel may involve plane, car or metro. $95,100.00-$120,000.00 is the expected starting pay for this position. This offer is based on current budgetary guidelines and additional factors outlined below.
