BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT: The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, saving lives in emergencies and using food assistance to build a pathway to peace, stability and prosperity for people recovering from conflict, disasters and the impact of climate change. Around 20,000 people work for the organization, most of them in remote areas, directly serving the hungry poor. ShareTheMeal is WFP’s fundraising and awareness-raising app. To reach a world with zero hunger, WFP is investing in and growing private sector partnerships. ShareTheMeal is WFP’s fundraising and awareness-raising app. Free to download, the award-winning app is a pioneering way for people to join our efforts in creating a world with zero hunger. ShareTheMeal currently has more than 1.6 million users worldwide, who have shared more than 235 million meals (US$ 190 million). WFP is pursuing an ambitious growth strategy for individual giving, and ShareTheMeal is a key driver for this strategy going forward. The team, located in Berlin, is focused on further developing the app to include new and innovative features, and on increasing the engagement of existing users and growing the user base through marketing and communication initiatives.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Consultant, reporting to the Head of Product for the ShareTheMeal initiative, is expected to: 1. Develop and manage a product roadmap for ShareTheMeal, together with ShareTheMeal’s Head of Product a. With a clear understanding of Key Business Metric to scope and prioritize features b. Carry out discussions with relevant external counterparts and WFP staff to derive options on the product strategy c. Follow market trends and competitors to understand the business landscape and propose innovative solutions d. Prepare discussion documents for the product strategy and architecture including standards e. Work with external partners to align ShareTheMeal product features with related services and products (such as payment, platform, and hosting providers)

2. Perform both quantitative and qualitative user research and data analysis to guide product decisions and A/B tests, and manage follow-up UI/UX iterations and improvements 3. Implement new features to improve and iterate on existing functionalities, together with ShareTheMeal’s development team a. Understanding of donors’ needs and business goals b. Define functional requirements and prepare clear specifications, with the support of UI/UX design and our development team c. Ensure alignment on timelines and technical dependencies d. Work collaboratively with the Development team, UI/UX design, QA, content, localization BI team, and other stakeholders to ensure features are implemented and rolled out successfully 4. Collaborate with other product manager, review their work, and foster an environment of growth

DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT: - A product roadmap are defined in line with initiative KPIs - Key product improvements and features of this roadmap have been successfully implemented

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Education: Bachelor’s degree Experience: At least 4 to 5 years of experience in product management of native iOS and Android apps, preferably transaction-focused apps in the e-commerce industry Knowledge & Skills: - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility - Strong business understanding with experience in the growth and scaling of B2C environment - Deep technical understanding of the mobile application ecosystem (iOS and Android) - Excellent communication and coordination skills enabling you to interact effectively with stakeholders, developers, designers, content, QA and BI - Ability to interact with managers with maturity and tact - Mature judgment with strong interpersonal skills - Collaborative spirit able to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures and to act with credibility and diplomacy - Strong time management skills with an ability to plan, and anticipate requirements, problems, and obstacles, and an ability to juggle

competing priorities successfully, and to work to tight deadlines - Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy - Fully committed and motivated to achieve the aims of the World Food Programme Languages: In addition to high proficiency in written and spoken English, knowledge of a second UN language is a plus
