Are you passionate about optimizing data processes, building efficient ETL pipelines, or delivering high-performance dashboards?

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst, to help us drive innovation and support strategic decision-making across our key business functions.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Gather and design requirements - collaborate with business stakeholders to capture and refine requirements and act as a partner, bouncing ideas, making recommendations and challenge when needed
  • Conceptualize ideas through various mock-ups, diagrams or modelling tools to design the target solution.
  • Implement new solutions - develop databases, Lakehouse, ETL or analytics solutions. Liaise with BI team members, external partners, project managers and business stakeholders during various phases of deployment including testing, validation, acceptance and post go-live support.
  • Maintain existing solutions - become an expert on assigned solutions, building a comprehensive understanding of the data flows, type of data, inter-connected systems and how the solutions are used. Modify and extend solutions according to changing business needs, ongoing evolution of databases, ETL, Dashboard and reports.
  • Monitor, fine-tune and support performance - contribute to daily monitoring activities (checking daily/nightly processing jobs, troubleshooting); Data validation, data analysis & root cause investigations, data extractions and data preparation for various projects and initiatives.
  • Manage Helpdesk in the context of BI Solution - diagnosing data errors presented in reports, failed jobs, access management, enhancements to existing solutions etc.
  • Contribute to the DEVOPS WIKI documentation for BI solutions, or to the curation of data assets within the Microsoft Purview data catalog
  • Deliver user guides and support documentation and support the internal Power BI community with sharing guidance and best practice

What will you need to thrive in this role:

Key must-have requirements

  • University degree with a focus on Data, Statistics, Mathematics or another analytical field.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in a technical data/BI environment, e.g. BI Analyst, Data Engineer, Report Developer, System Administrator or IT-related role. The profile should be strongly technical rather than a traditional Data Analyst.
  • Strong practical experience with the Microsoft BI stack and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Expert-level T-SQL / SQL, including complex queries, joins, data transformation, performance tuning, CTEs, temporary tables, ranking functions, pivot/unpivot, etc.
  • Practical knowledge of data modelling, including star schemas, N relationships and bridging tables.
  • Good practical knowledge of Power BI, Power Query and basic DAX.
  • Strong Excel skills and practical experience working with data connections, semantic models and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English; Czech is not required but would be an advantage.

Nice-to-have experience

  • Pharma industry experience.
  • Python or Spark.
  • ERP/CRM and financial data.
  • APIs.
  • Other reporting/visualization tools such as QlikView, Tableau or Crystal Reports.
